Sketchbook Dump

As always it gets a bit harder to update during the school year. Sophmore year has started (for a month now) and I'm enjoying every bit off it. I thought I'd post a few of my sketchbook pages from over the summer. However, the first two are recent.

A Tranquil Place

Meh, just another environment. This one was a bit more relaxed. I've got a couple more projects I want to get done before school starts. I'm friggin' stocked to get back into the craziness. After this summer I realized I might be addicted to the chaotic, busy, busy nature of going to school at Ringling. I feel like my mind is more sharply focused when I've got the pressure of multiple projects. Also, I can't wait to see all my friends again!!

This is a project I started a while ago (cough) and just barely finished. The idea was inspired by the types of parents that get a bit too involved in their childrens' extra curricular activities. I thought of this while watching people at a karate meet for my brother.

More summer stuff

Another theme developed for the weekly topic. This one was supposed to be based off of an unfamiliar fairy tale. The image I choose came from a Hans Christian Anderson story entitled "Mother Elderberry"

Art Dump

Here is a dump of recent doodles, digital painting poop, and above is an illustration I did for a painting topic my girlfriend Ashley and I decided to do. The topic was Sacred Grove. This is what I came up with. Anyway, on to more drawing...

Cheetah's are still cool

Ever since I was in third or fourth grade I thought Cheetah's were cool, well I still think that! This came from me watching animal planet while at the Gym... doing this as part of my: Try to have something worth updating with a few times a week plan. Lets see how it goes.

Unfinished Business

Well, I had originally hoped to dump all of this on my blog sooner. Ah well, time slips by rather fast these days it seems. Here is a glimpse at a semester's worth of sketches I did in traditional as well as my final for my painting class. I did a series of landscapes around the school and around Sarasota to try and experiment in outdoor painting. Hoping to get a few more done over the break. Onwards!
